Touring in Canada is expensive and time consuming. Who has solved this problem and how? Will we ever be able to tour in the U.S. as easily as Americans can tour here? Build your networking skills and get info that will help you find work away from home, (and still call Canada your home), as well as industry leads for showcasing your live, or produced content. Plus, budgets and Taxes for the comedy worker, hooray!

Tim Gray is a stand-up comedian who has been entertaining crowds for over 14 years. He has appeared on the CBC Radio's "The Debaters" 3 times, San Francisco Sketchfest, Chicago Sketchfest, Toronto Sketchfest, etc. In 2022 he made his headlining debut at Rumor’s Comedy Club. In Fall of 2022 he and his wife toured Western Canada performing in 12 cities from Winnipeg to Victoria, performing 15 shows in 14 days.



Jesse Griffiths
Industry Guest

After over a decade of working as an actor in film, tv, and theatre, Jesse made a pivot and began his career in casting. He opened Jesse Griffiths Casting (JGC) with the goal of combining his passion for the arts with his knowledge of local talent. His focus is, and will always be, to push for more inclusion and diversity in the casting process. He devotes part of his time to the development of the next generation of artists and has taught at Toronto Metropolitan University, Sheridan College, Actra Toronto, and leads a monthly workshop for Toronto's BIPOC community. He is a mentor at the Canadian Film Centre’s Actors Conservatory, a member of the Casting Society of America (CSA), serves on the Executive of the Casting Director's Society of Canada (CDC), and is on the professional advisory committee for Seneca College, George Brown College, and Toronto Metropolitan University. Jesse is a graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University with a BFA in Theatre Performance.

Abby Falvo

Abby Falvo has been writing and performing stand-up and sketch comedy for 12 years. Her comedy is fun, intimate, and sometimes involves a ukulele.She has performed in The Winnipeg Comedy Festival, Winnipeg Improv Fest, and featured as part of the Just For Laughs Showcase. She has produced multiple comedy shows in Winnipeg and is the writer of Fringe show "COMMANDO: The Radio Play"



Sarah Quan

Sarah Quan is the Executive in Charge of Development, Comedy Scripted at CBC. Prior to joining CBC, she served as Creative Executive at Northwood Entertainment (Anne With An E, The Grizzlies) where she oversaw the day-to-day creative and logistical slate of television and feature film projects in development and production. Sarah started her career in production as a coordinator and line producer for independent film and digital series. As an award-winning producer and executive, Sarahis dedicated to discovering and nurturing underrepresented voices with fresh perspectives and producing work that changes culture and explores stories that have yet to be told.

Jenna Warriner

As a Publicist and Social Media strategist, Jenna has worked with international indie filmmakers including representing indie films at Sundance, TIFF and Hot Docs. Jenna has helped businesses across the globe to grow their followings and get clients from social media. She leverages her experience in PR and the entertainment industry to help small businesses create content that entertains and gets seen by the masses.
